Have you ever played it safe when it comes to “getting your hopes up” because you don’t want to be disappointed again? Yep, me too!
Friend, we are talking about hope today, and let me tell you- over the past several years I have
longed for hope, ached for hope,
tried to talk myself into hoping again.
worked to manufacture my own hope.
I ignored hope, was afraid to hope.
And yet somehow- hope has been close, a companion in my story.
Here’s what we dive into today:
My own seven year wilderness season and how hope has been both a companion and a challenge.
Is it hope? Or, toxic positivity? Gulp!
The honest truth- that we like a hope rooted in probabilities….and have often choked out a hope filled with possibilities.
I share one of my favorite Bible stories about a father who hopes against all odds- listen friend, I love this one so much, I tattooed it on my body!
